Tara embarked upon the 'terrible twos' journey on Dec 14. I had been educating her about the approaching 'happy to you' day' a week in advance and she promptly posed in bed with her magenta pink witch like cap on that morning.
Thee day started with a quick trip to the Ganesha temple with her ever religious father and then cutting the banana walnut cake her mommy baked so lovingly for her.
Announcement: Today is 'no daycare' day - didn't want a trip to the guilt factory so instead planned a little amma-baby day trip around the city (daddy had an important business meeting so couldn't take leave). We spent
some wonderful time at the convent
where the nuns love getting to see Tara grow up , gave all of Tara belongings that she does not use any longer - clothes, toys, feeding bottle etc. We then headed to a toy shop and while she aimed at the stuffed teddy bear (full of dust mites) I picked up a bat-ball for her - afterall she belongs to a country where people are crazy about cricket and as her father says "we need to encourage sports - she shouldn't turn out to be like her mother" (yeah - I don't understand sports - not one bit).
Once daddy dear got back from work there was a 'Cricket 101' class where Tara clearly communicated with her actions that she does not care about batting while she loves fielding and throwing the ball in general - another Bhajji (Harbhajan Singh) in the making? Have a cute video of the class - will try and post it another time.
